Mission StatementThe Plympton Sports and Recreation Club through its focus on Australian rules football, cricket and soccer provides the people of Plympton Park, and its surrounding areas, with an environment which allows everyone to enjoy the many values of sport. We are a community based organisation that provides a friendly and safe environment for all ages and encourage a healthy, professional and successful outcome while enjoying the social aspects of a sporting organisation.The History of the BulldogThe Plympton and Sports and Recreation Club was established in 1979 when the Plympton Football Club and Plympton Footballers Cricket Club came together to form a year round complex to be enjoyed by the players, families and members of the local community. We now boast one of the largest and strongest junior sports programs in metropolitan Adelaide with over 250 junior participants taking to the field in Plympton colours for football, soccer, and cricket.Plympton is a great place to hold social functions with the use of the hall, kitchen and bar facilities. Just make the call and we will make every effort to cater for your needs however Plympton does not offer 18th birthday parties.Our bar is open 7 days a week and has the cheapest prices in the district. SO if your keen for a few quiet ones after work in a freindly no pokie environment, Plympton is the place for you.What Does Membership Get You?Plympton offers the cheapest bar prices for Members anywhere in the area. Our bar is open 7 days a week. On Christmas morning Plympton is open to all members with free drinks until 11 am.Every Friday night Plympton offers giant meat raffles with many prizes. During the festive season prawns and hams are also on offer.Your membership also gives you the right to vote and have your say at the Annual General Meeting and any special meetings that are called throughout 2010-2011.Meals are available on Thursdays, Saturdays and selected Sundays and are extremely cheap. Usually priced between $6 for a child serve to $8.50 for a full main meal. During the football season we offer free sausage sizzles most Friday nights and Sundays.You will also receive weekly emails notifying you of upcoming events, promotions and sports results.If you are interested in becoming a member of the Plympton Sports and Recreation Club or would like a brochure please feel free to contact us via the contacts page.Membership is $20 for full members and $10 for pensioners
