Clubroom Extensions Update
Dear members, Just an update on where we are at with the change room / club room extension and toilet upgrade During the concept drawing process the surveyors report showed that there was a boundary zoning issue which in affect was over our planned extension by 1 metre and we are still in the process with council to get this rectified which may take more time than first thought ( approx 6-8 months ) we are continuing with the initials plans whilst council follows thru with the Traffic / Open Space / Development Services Departments documents to update the records then lodge Certificate of Title with Land Titles Office for registering. This means that the Change Room work will most probably commence after Football/Soccer season finishes 2012 Oct. The Architectural Drawings and Engineers documents have now been sent to council for their approval but the tender specification is expected to be issued mid January. Attached is the not for construction. Tender drawing only We believe that works will commence March / April on the Northern Wall Clubroom extension along with the inside upgrade of the women’s and new disabled toilets and the outside public Male & Female toilets. On another note the Funding Committee with James Rogers & Brandt Piercy at the helm will once again be applying to secure more funding to upgrade our oval lights. Again this is a long process but without the dedicated efforts of these 2 guys nothing would be happening. The club needs more people to help out where they can. Just imagine the Plympton Oval with new lights were our juniors can play under and the parents supporting eagerly as always. Just imagine new carpet in the clubrooms. Just imagine a refurbished bar area. Just imagine continued facilities upgrades !!! Just imagine no-one doing anything, the Executive Committee still requires the services of a Complex Secretary & Complex Treasurer. This is an exciting time at the club now so if any one knows of some-one who can do these rolls please reply to the Kennel ASAP for more detailed information In closing I would like to wish everyone associated with the Plympton Bulldogs and their families a very merry & safe Christmas and a prosperous new year See you all in 2012 Go You Bulldogs
